The core on-device product, stock, and order flow can continue. QR, transfer, and card payments still depend on their services; picking devices still need the same LAN.

No. GoodsBar records how an order was paid. Buyers still scan your QR code, pay cash, or use another method you set up, and the money never passes through GoodsBar.

If you have a smaller catalog and want to try things out, Free lets you run through the whole booth workflow. Move to Master when you need more inventory, reports, backups, or team tools. Current pricing is shown in the App Store.

GoodsBar supports iPhone, iPad, and Android phones and tablets. Choose your preferred device for inventory and checkout. A teammate can also use a phone browser for local-network picking.

Yes. You can back up and restore locally, or export a CSV or data package. Backup and export allowances vary by plan.

Installation, permissions, and printer connections can differ. Follow the same product, event, checkout, reconciliation, and backup sequence, then check permissions and complete a practice order on your device.

Choose English and the currency symbol in Preferences, configure payment methods, create one product and event, and set its event quantity. Complete a demo order, check history and stock, then export a full backup.

Use variants for styles with independent prices and stock, and bundles for existing products sold together. Test component consumption with a small practice order.

Choose linked or separate inventory in event preferences. Linked mode shares component allocations, so single-item sales reduce available bundles. Separate mode allocates each independently; both respect physical stock. Read the conversion preview before switching.

Products have total and current stock; events have planned and remaining quantities. Plans may exceed physical stock, but POS sells only actual availability. Bulk event quantities do not restock physical goods.

Not by itself. Order IDs and pickup codes serve different purposes. Search the event history by number, time, total, and status, including unpaid holds. Check for existing records before recording anything again.

Verify actual receipt, then search recent event orders by time, amount, and products, including held orders. Do not complete an existing order twice. Only record a missing sale after confirming no record exists.

Select returned lines and quantities. Confirmation restores only those quantities and records the refund and related tax. Return actual money through the original payment channel separately.

Usually no public internet is needed, but both devices must share a reachable LAN. Test an order with the actual venue router or hotspot before opening.

Discovery is only the first step. Check permissions, connection, paper width, text, and clipping by printing realistic content on the hardware you will use.

It normally produces a ZIP of order, matrix, author, and product-revenue CSVs. History uses the full filtered result, not just the visible page; Settings exports global history. The matrix also has its own CSV export.

No. CSV lacks complete images and event/order relationships. Save .backup off-device. Import merges business data and lets you choose whether to restore settings and profile.

Gift orders receive zero but consume stock. Refunds reduce revenue and restore returned units. Compare the same scope by paid/gift/refund state against money and goods. Corrections and refund undo do not automatically move external money.

Assign accurate author tags and choose author analysis. Bundles split by component value; multiple authors retain joint attribution, not equal automatic shares. Related-order “current author amount” may show a whole bundle row, so do not sum it instead of using the allocated ranking. Check refunds, gifts, and incomplete orders.

No. Import merges into the current workspace; duplicate names stay separate and stock is not merged by name. Restoring settings/profile does not replace all business data.

No. It creates products, families, and tags, with duplicate-name warnings. Codes are generated automatically. Remove successfully imported rows before retrying to avoid duplicates.

It is not available in this version. Use full backups for migration. Local automatic restore points keep up to five copies on this device and do not replace off-device backups.

No. The code is displayed only; verify receipt in the payment service before confirming in GoodsBar. External card terminals also require manual confirmation. Automatic Square collection is unavailable.

No. Holds immediately create unpaid records and reserve stock after exit. Resume payment when the customer returns, or cancel and confirm restoration. Return prepared goods physically too.

No. It records shipping, packaging, and platform costs you bear for profit calculations. Blank means unknown and incomplete profit; zero means confirmed no cost.

No. Each saved product gets a primary code. Add it to the event and pair an HID scanner through the system. With feature access, normal POS receives input without a separate switch. Camera scanning has its own switch.

Current labels use gap-paper presets matching the loaded roll, not arbitrary width/height. Receipt and label printer/template defaults are separate. Print and scan one label first.

No. They are a template for new events. Change payments, display, scanning, tax, and shipping in each existing event's preferences.

Try Demo uses a built-in pool that resets without business changes. Test mode on a real machine reduces its pool only, with last-draw undo. Real draws also reduce event and physical stock.

Not yet. Apply changes drafts; Save changes writes all modified rows, not only currently selected rows. Save before CSV import, which directly creates products and refreshes the table.

No. Display edits stay in that poster. Update event data compares old/new values and lets you choose each update. Standalone drafts remain in the browser and do not automatically sync to the app.

Duplicate read-only built-ins or create a custom template. Saving stores the design; set a compatible template as default for its printer purpose. Receipt and label defaults differ. Free calibration printing does not enable actual-order printing.
