Screenshots use the English app and browser tools with English demo data. Follow the numbered steps and use your own product details when you are ready. Click any screenshot to enlarge it.

Choose app event mode or the free website

Toolbox → Poster maker offers app event data or a standalone free website with different storage. iOS event mode supports embedded iPad editing and a LAN computer connection; Android currently offers the free website. Full canvas editing requires a computer or tablet, not a phone.

  1. Start from an event

Choose Start creating and select an event with products/bundles. Check subscription prompts if required.

    Start from an event
  2. Choose your editing device

Edit on iPad, or open on computer and copy the URL to a same-Wi-Fi browser. Keep GoodsBar in the foreground.

    Choose your editing device
  3. Inspect the iPad workspace

Check event name and autosaved status. The left selects templates/elements/products; the right edits selection. Missing-image placeholders can be filled later.

    Inspect the iPad workspace
  4. Use the free website

Open the free website to start from scratch. Drafts stay in this browser; export before clearing browser data.

  5. Stop computer access

Stop the computer entry after editing. Closing its dialog lets you keep access open or stop it as prompted. Stopping disconnects the computer.

Tips

  • Neither mode automatically cloud-syncs. Poster PC access is separate from product PC editing.

Manage drafts and refresh event data

The standalone menu creates, renames, or deletes works; app mode switches existing events. Web mode can create products from images or parse a .backup locally. Display edits stay in the poster, not source products. In app mode review event changes with Update event data.

  1. Select or create a work

Open the poster menu and saved works. Create new works on the standalone website; start from existing events in app mode. Wait for autosaved before switching.

  2. Rename or delete web works

Use the standalone menu to rename. Export before deletion and verify the name. These document actions are not offered in app event mode; deleting a browser work does not delete the app event.

  3. Create from images

On web use Import → Product images; in event mode use the product area's import. Select images, enter names/prices, and create local poster products. They add no app inventory.

  4. Import a backup

Choose Import GoodsBar backup, select .backup, wait, choose an included event, and begin. Parsing creates a browser draft without changing app data.

  5. Update selected differences

In event mode, compare current/latest event and catalog values. Update individual items; only clicked items change and each update can be undone.

Tips

  • Deleting drafts does not delete source events. Browser-local saving is not an off-device backup.

Templates, canvas, and navigation

Use the left templates/elements/products, central canvas, and right properties. Set overall layout before titles/products. Reusable templates need clear names and a preview suited to the number of products.

  1. Preview and apply a template

Choose built-in or saved, preview, and confirm application. Preview alone changes nothing; applying can be undone.

    Preview and apply a template
  2. Set area sizes

In Products → Layout → Area size/spacing, adjust header height, minimum product-area height, header/catalog gap, and section gaps. Canvas width is fixed; content determines the long image height.

    Set area sizes
  3. Navigate the canvas

Zoom/fit, select precisely through the structure tree, and undo/redo. The right panel follows the selected object.

    Navigate the canvas
  4. Save a personal template

Under My templates, save current, name it, and save. This stores style for other works; the current poster continues autosaving under its own name.

  5. Clean the template library

Preview custom templates before use or confirm deletion when no longer needed. Built-in and custom templates have different management permissions.

Tips

  • Recheck titles and long names after applying templates. Undo/redo helps compare changes.

Canvas background, header, and texture

Canvas background covers the work; the header is a separate top image. Page texture covers the page beneath header, products, and footer. Start with readable light colors. Opacity changes strength; zoom changes framing.

  1. Set the full background

Select canvas background in Elements/tree, choose its color, and upload a background image if needed.

  2. Frame the background

After upload, set zoom, opacity, horizontal/vertical focal points, and check edge cropping. Remove the image when unwanted.

  3. Set a header image

Select Header and upload a custom image, then adjust zoom, opacity, and focal points, or remove it. Full-background templates have no separate header.

    Set a header image
  4. Choose a texture

Choose none, grid, dots, diagonal dots, or diagonal grid in page texture presets.

  5. Refine texture appearance

Set texture size, alignment, and color, then fit the full image to check that names and prices remain clear. Image placement controls appear only after upload.

Titles, information card, and footer

Select these independent objects in Elements/tree before editing; a product card does not open event fields. The information card supports date, booth, location, and account, with shared or per-field text styling. Unreleased card templates are not selectable.

  1. Write titles

Select Title, enter main/subtitle, set X/Y and their gap, then select each text style separately.

    Write titles
  2. Style title text

Set font, weight, size, outline, color, opacity, alignment, and letter spacing. Check long titles stay within the canvas.

  3. Fill the information card

Enable the card and enter date, booth, location, and account. Disable the whole card when not needed.

    Fill the information card
  4. Arrange the card

Set X/Y, W for width, PX/PY for horizontal/vertical padding, item gaps, and divider gaps. Positions follow the page grid increments.

  5. Style the card and fields

Set divider width/color, corner radius, and background. Start with shared text style; enable an individual field override only when needed.

  6. Edit the footer

Edit left and center text; the right fixed credit is read-only. Set background, footer height, and text styles, then inspect the bottom. Account text is display content, not a social-account connection.

Precise colors and saved swatches

Click any editable swatch. Color mode changes input; opacity changes visibility, and supported properties allow transparency. RGB is screen color; CMYK input converts to an approximate display color. Full-image CMYK preview is a separate preview action.

  1. Use palettes

Choose screen/print palettes, recent colors, or saved custom colors. Only the selected property changes.

    Use palettes
  2. Enter RGB color

Use RGB picker or six-digit HEX and opacity; choose transparent where available.

  3. Enter CMYK values

Enter each C/M/Y/K from 0–100 and inspect the approximate converted screen color.

    Enter CMYK values
  4. Save reusable colors

Save a color for reuse in custom swatches, or remove unused swatches. Deleting a swatch does not clear colors already applied.

Tips

  • CMYK conversion and preview cannot guarantee the final printer's colors.

Product sections, ordering, and layout

Group by existing dimensions or manually. Hiding affects this poster only. Layout has global, section, and individual scopes; overrides may block parent changes until restored to inheritance.

  1. Organize the catalog

Search and hide/show items. App source products can be hidden; local image products and standalone-web items can also be removed with undo. App products and stock stay unchanged.

  2. Create sections

Choose a grouping dimension or manual sections, then name sections, add products, and reorder.

  3. Set layout spacing

Set columns/items per row and row/column/section gaps. Horizontal cards consume multiple columns; changing layout clears manual positions and rearranges items.

  4. Style section headings

Set accent, divider color, and text style. Select a specific section in the tree before overriding it alone.

  5. Choose the edit scope

Check individual/section/global before editing. Restore parent inheritance to unify styles or restore automatic layout when necessary.

Tips

  • Remove individual overrides before expecting global changes. Check the current work before removing sections or items.

Product cards, prices, and badges

Display name, price, subtitle, image, and tags can differ on this poster without changing GoodsBar data. Add missing demo images here if needed. Choose the correct styling scope and refine one sample before applying globally.

  1. Edit display content

Select a product, change its poster name, price, or subtitle, replace image, or hide price. These do not update app details or selling prices.

    Edit display content
  2. Choose card style

Choose A large centered image, B side-by-side text/image, C circular price badge, or D bottom-centered price. B supports horizontal-card height. Show price applies to the current scope.

  3. Style the card body

A/D offer fill and corners, optional border width/color, and shadow blur/opacity/Y offset. B/C do not show the same body settings.

  4. Style product images

Set image/card spacing and corners; enable image border or shadow and adjust their color, width, blur, opacity, and Y offset.

  5. Style names and subtitles

Select the text role, then font, weight, size, outline, spacing, and color. Names offer horizontal/vertical padding; subtitles offer alignment.

  6. Style the price

Set price text style and a price-label fill when the chosen design supports it. Recheck position and long amounts after switching styles.

  7. Add product badges

Use new, free, special-price, or trade presets, or custom labels. Set text, shape, size, position, rotation, border, and colors.

  8. Restore inherited styles

If a card ignores section changes, check its overrides and restore parent inheritance. Use reset all only for a full reset. It follows its section, or global style when the section has no override.

Tips

  • Compare promotional prices against actual app prices separately. Hiding products does not reduce stock.

Preview and export

Preview checks reading and cropping; CMYK estimates color shifts but does not replace physical proofs. Export merged PNG or layered ZIP containing background, header, catalog, and JSON for further editing.

  1. Inspect the entire poster

Preview, zoom into long names, prices, variants, dates, and footer, then fit the full image to inspect cropping.

  2. Compare print colors

Enable CMYK preview for print use, adjust colors if needed, then compare normal preview again.

  3. Choose format and scale

Export merged PNG or layered ZIP. 1× is 1280 px wide; choose 2× for higher resolution. Very tall canvases are subject to memory limits. Wait for file generation, then finish downloading/saving.

    Choose format and scale
  4. Open the exported file

Finish browser/system saving and inspect actual dimensions and full content. If embedded export is restricted, use computer access. Keep the GoodsBar footer credit and follow the editor's notices.

Tips

  • Wait for autosaved before exporting.
