Open the correct POS

Start selling from event details, or choose an event through Quick sale on the dashboard. Check its name at the top. POS uses catalog cards, tags, and sections; there is no text product search here. Text search is available in Products and the event catalog.

  1. Check the event

Read the event name at the top. Use Switch event to change it; this order belongs to the displayed event.

    Check the event
  2. Choose a browsing layout

Use sections for no grouping, product type, or enabled tags. Filter by tags and adjust items per row. Set the catalog view in event preferences.

  3. Find the work tools

Picking opens the local queue and phone collaboration. Held orders shows unpaid reservations; More opens the control center. The toolbox opens this event's interactive features.

  4. Review the control center

Open More and review available options such as scrolling product names, picking queue, and cart images. Close it to return to the catalog.

Add products, variants, and bundles

Tap an item and adjust its quantity with plus/minus or direct input. Stock, purchase limits, and event visibility apply. Practice with one Starlit Zine A at 45 and one stand A at 35: subtotal 80, then a gift and 10% off make 72. Practice bundle purchases in a separate cart.

  1. Add a standalone product

Tap Starlit Zine A for one unit. Adjust quantity with the controls or tap the number to enter it. Reducing to zero removes the line.

  2. Select one or several variants

Open Acrylic Stand ABC and choose a style. Use the variant selector to filter styles, enter each quantity, and add the selected variants to the cart. Here choose A ×1: book 45 + stand 35 = 80. B is also 35; C is 38.

    Select one or several variants
  3. Add a bundle

Tap Starlit Booth Set, set bundle quantity, and check its bundle badge and component list. If unavailable, check event allocations and physical component stock. Charge by bundle price and prepare each component in its configured ratio.

  4. Check or clear the cart

Check names, styles, quantities, unit prices, and total. To abandon the whole cart, clear it and confirm. Clearing creates no order.

Scan, change selling settings, and restock

Scan the product's own barcode or QR code only after adding it to the event. Camera and HID scanning have separate setup. Long-press products or bundles for event selling settings; standalone items and variants also provide quick restocking. Restock only real goods.

  1. Scan with the camera

Enable camera product scanning in event checkout preferences. Tap the POS scanner, allow camera access, and point one product label at the frame; switch cameras if needed. Check the cart afterward. Actual recognition needs a physical-device test.

  2. Scan with an HID scanner

Connect an HID scanner through the system and ensure your plan supports it. Scan the primary code while POS is ready for item selection, after closing blocking dialogs or payment screens. Event stock and limits still apply.

  3. Edit event selling settings

Long-press a product or bundle. Review event stock, price, limit, and available maximum, then save changes. Price and purchase-limit edits also update the base product or bundle; recheck the cart total.

  4. Quickly restock

Long-press a standalone item and choose quick restocking; choose a specific SKU for variants. Enter added units and a note, then confirm. Bundles use linked restocking in their details. This adds physical and event availability.

Promotions, discounts, and gift orders

Promotions follow cart conditions automatically; manual discounts are set at checkout. Promotional gifts, paid add-ons, and whole-order gifts are different. Quick-discount percentages mean the amount removed: 10% off charges 90%. Check savings and final amount before confirming.

  1. Check or choose promotional gifts

The sample 80 qualifies for a free badge B when spending 60, automatically adding one 0-price badge. For customer-choice rules, open the gift card, complete the required selection count, and confirm. Here the cart has book A, stand A, and gift badge B; total remains 80.

  2. Choose conditional add-ons

When offered, use plus/minus for add-on quantities. Check unit price, per-order cap, and stock. These are paid items and increase the total.

  3. Open checkout

Proceed to checkout and review book A, stand A, and gift badge B. Open quick discounts. The paid subtotal is 80 and the gift costs 0.

    Open checkout
  4. Apply 10% off

Choose 10% under whole-order quick discounts, check 80 becomes 72, and finish. Custom percentages and rounding are available; fixed reductions and final-total entry require whole-order discounts enabled. Here book = 40.5, stand = 31.5, gift = 0; savings = 8.

    Apply 10% off
  5. Discount an individual line

Select a line in item adjustments and set its discount. Restore inheritance to follow the whole-order rate again, or clear discounts. A line override replaces that line's inherited rate; recheck the total.

  6. Manage discount presets

In preset management, enter and save frequent discount percentages, remove unused presets, and finish to return to checkout.

  7. Give away an entire order

Use the gift-order switch only when no payment is due and confirm. It requires Allow gift orders for this event. Paid amount becomes 0, stock is deducted normally, and the order is marked as a gift.

Collect cash, QR, or card payment

Select the method actually used. Enter cash received; verify actual receipt for QR and cards before confirming. For shipped orders, choose online shipping and record costs you bear. These affect profit, not the amount charged to the customer.

  1. Check scenario and notes

Check this order's scenario. For shipping, enter your shipping, packaging, and platform costs. Add an order note if needed and check total and tax. Blank cost means unknown; 0 means confirmed no expense.

  2. Enter cash received

Choose cash and use the keypad or coin/banknote controls. For 72 due and 100 received, enter 100. Exact fills the amount due; clear or backspace fixes mistakes. Insufficient cash cannot complete payment. The sample change is 28.

    Enter cash received
  3. Return change and confirm

Return 28, finish collecting payment, and confirm the second dialog for 72 by cash. In this demo the saved order is #6 / pickup code 0006, with received 100 and change 28. Your identifiers may differ.

    Return change and confirm
  4. Collect QR payment

Choose the QR channel and show its code. Verify actual receipt, select the paid action, check the method and amount in the second confirmation, and confirm. Only then is the order saved and stock deducted.

  5. Collect external card payment

Choose the card terminal and charge the shown amount on your own terminal. After it succeeds, confirm receipt on the terminal to complete the GoodsBar record. The terminal handles the actual charge.

Hold, resume, and cancel unpaid orders

Hold an order at checkout when a customer will return later. Confirmation creates an unpaid order and immediately reserves stock. The sample badge B order for 12 becomes #7 / 0007 and reduces event remaining stock 30→29. Holds do not expire automatically, even after leaving POS; pay or cancel them manually.

  1. Start a hold

Start a separate cart with badge B ×1, proceed to checkout for 12, and choose Hold order. Read the immediate stock-reservation warning and confirm to proceed to the optional contact/pickup note.

    Start a hold
  2. Save a pickup note

Optionally enter a contact or pickup note, such as demo-1400, and press the bottom confirmation. The sample creates #7 / 0007 and reserves one badge.

    Save a pickup note
  3. Show the intended payment method

Check order, pickup code, one item, and 12 on the held screen. Select the customer's method; only its QR is shown. Open payment settings if missing. The sample has no real payment QR; successful holding is not payment confirmation.

    Show the intended payment method
  4. Resume payment

Open Held orders and find 0007, 12, badge B ×1. Resume payment when the customer pays, verify details, and finish. This updates the original held order rather than creating another. For this cancellation exercise, continue to the next step instead.

    Resume payment
  5. Cancel and return reserved goods

For the sample #7, cancel the hold, check 0007, and confirm cancellation with stock restoration. Return any prepared physical goods. Event remaining stock returns 29→30; reload if refresh fails before taking another order.

Finish, pick, print, and close

Order complete means the order has been saved. Review payment, time, and pickup code, then handle picking or receipts. Picking and payment are separate states. With the queue enabled, new orders await picking; otherwise they default to picked.

  1. Check the completed order

For this demo, verify #6, cash 72, pickup code 0006, and time. Tell the customer the pickup code. Prepare book A, stand A, and gift badge B, one each.

    Check the completed order
  2. Turn to the picking list

Use the card flip/picking control, check every line and expanded bundle component, and complete picking after preparing all goods. The local queue updates too.

  3. Print a receipt

Send the receipt to the configured printer. If printing fails, check the saved order and print queue before retrying. Printing does not create another order; verify paper output on the printer.

  4. Save an electronic receipt

Save the electronic receipt and choose Save Image in the system share sheet. This does not charge or deduct stock again. The screenshot shows a generated PNG receipt for the separate sample #8.

    Save an electronic receipt
  5. Start the next order

Choose New order for an empty cart. If automatic return is enabled and you need more time, cancel the countdown.

  6. Close the POS

Check held orders and picking first, then end selling and confirm closing. Unlock with PIN if required. Unpaid held orders still reserve stock after exit.

Tips

  • Before payment check styles, bundles, gifts, and discounts. Verify receipt and return cash change before confirming. Mark handed-over orders picked, and resolve unpaid holds when closing.
