Label layouts

Design product labels and print names, prices, and barcodes in batches.

Choose label paper and a template

Labels use fixed-size gap paper and separate templates from receipts. Only offered size presets are available, not arbitrary width/height. Add a label-purpose printer and select its paper first, checking the loaded roll even on dual-purpose devices.

  1. Open label design

    Open Print settings → Label template design or its toolbox entry.

  2. Choose a starting template

    Duplicate Default label, which contains name, price, and barcode, or create from default/blank. To use QR, add a QR element in your copy and bind the primary product code.

  3. Match the paper preset

    Use the printer's label preset that matches the loaded paper, for example 40 × 30 mm only when that is the actual roll.

  4. Name and save

    Name it by size and purpose, such as 40×30 — product QR, and save before continuing. Dimensions stay locked to the chosen preset.

Bind names, variants, prices, and codes

Each specific product receives a primary code automatically. Barcode and QR can represent the same code. Every SKU in a variant family is an individual product and can have its own printed name, specification, and code.

  1. Add text fields

    Bind text to product name, display name, variant name, or price, choosing what fits the label.

  2. Add a scannable code

    Bind barcode or QR to the primary product code. Barcodes commonly use Code 128. Content changes with the product being printed.

  3. Arrange the label

    Move elements and edit millimeter coordinates/sizes, font size, wrapping, and alignment. Keep QR square, image proportions intact, and blank margins around codes.

  4. Manage elements

    Use Layers to select overlaps, reorder, hide/show, duplicate, rotate, or mirror. Undo/redo edits. Text, code, image processing, and assets share the receipt editor's tools.

  5. Check long names

    Preview a long product/variant name and check wrapping and readability at the final size. Do not manually replace bound preview numbers.

Set a default and test one label

Receipt and label defaults are separate. Save a compatible label as default before printing from product details. Test the printed identity with an external HID scanner; camera scanning belongs in POS.

  1. Set the default template

    Save and set as default. If incompatible, check the label-purpose default device and paper preset. Look for the default badge.

  2. Open a specific product

    Open Products → Product details → Product label identity to view its code. Do not use one family code for every SKU.

  3. Print one label

    Print one label and check alignment and content boundaries. Configure missing printer/template defaults before retrying.

  4. Test its identity

    Connect an HID scanner, start label testing, and scan. Check whether it matches the current product; repeat if needed, then close testing.

Tips

  • Test one label before continuous feeding. Device discovery alone does not prove print or scan success.

Print labels in bulk

Bulk labels select products, template, and copies. Printing changes no stock. Each product allows 0–99 copies; 0 skips it. Check the total so an event's entire stock is not printed unintentionally.

  1. Select a scope

    Open Toolbox → Bulk product labels and choose event, tag, or manual selection. Manual selection supports searching name or product code.

  2. Set copies per product

    Enter copies for each product; set 0 or deselect items not to print.

  3. Check template and previews

    Select the label template, preview different products with actual data, and verify a default label printer is configured.

  4. Print and apply labels

    Start with one product and one copy. Once verified, restore the intended counts and print the displayed total, applying labels in output order. Repeated printing creates duplicates; it does not track which goods are already labeled.
