Enable the picking queue

For solo selling, disable the queue to mark paid orders picked automatically. For teamwork, enable it and use the local workbench or a phone browser. Waiting, picking, and picked describe preparation progress, not payment receipt.

  1. Enable the queue

Enable picking in event checkout preferences and save, or toggle it in the POS picking workbench. New orders then enter the waiting queue.

  2. Open the local queue

Choose Picking in POS, then Picking queue. Find waiting or active orders by order number and pickup code. The workbench also provides collaboration, held orders, and the queue switch.

  3. Prepare from the list

Open #6 / 0006 for 72 and prepare one book A, stand A, and gift badge B. Check styles, quantities, bundle contents, and gifts for every order. Mark picked and confirm only when complete. It leaves the pending queue without another charge or stock deduction.

Connect a phone on the local network

Connect both devices to the same Wi-Fi or hotspot. The phone needs only a browser, not GoodsBar or WeChat. Keep the host app in the foreground. Session links change after network changes or service restarts; obtain the current link again.

  1. Join the same network

Connect iPad and phone to the same network and allow local-network access on the iPad when prompted.

  2. Start collaboration

Open Picking → Collaboration. Wait for Running and a QR code or URL. Use your device's current address; the screenshot is only this demo session.

    Start collaboration
  3. Open the phone page

Scan or enter the full URL in a phone browser, verify the host event/address, and keep the host foregrounded. With no list, the phone waits for new orders; a cart or assigned order appears automatically.

Check items and complete handover

The phone receives one list at a time, sometimes a preview before payment. Check pickup code, total, and quantities. These screenshots use #8 / 0008, badge B ×1 for 12. Read the bottom status: waiting for POS payment, select all items, or complete picking. The heading alone does not prove payment.

  1. Preview the active cart

Wait for POS items. Check 0008, 12, and badge B ×1. When the footer says waiting for payment, prepare goods but wait for the cashier's receipt confirmation before handover. Quantity changes update the phone.

  2. Receive a paid order

After POS confirms exactly 12 in cash, the order is assigned to the waiting phone. Check 0008 and quantity again. At 0/1, the footer asks you to select all items; the host shows picking in progress.

  3. Count each unit

Check a single unit with its checkbox; for multiple units use numbered buttons. Tap or long-press thumbnails to enlarge them. Select/deselect all can reset checks. Count bundle components and gifts too. The browser retains checks, but recheck when the list changes.

  4. Complete picking after all checks

For this sample, check badge B to reach 1/1. Verify the customer's 0008 code, confirmed payment, and goods, then complete picking. The host marks #8 picked and the phone closes the list.

  5. Wait for the next list

With no further orders, the phone returns to waiting. Otherwise check the newly assigned code before preparing. There is no phone order-history list; review completed orders on the cashier's device.

  6. Verify host synchronization

Reopen the host queue. After sample #8 it shows zero pending orders. If other orders remain, verify only that the completed pickup code has left the queue.

Release assignments and troubleshoot connections

When staff change or a phone fails, release the assignment to return it to waiting; no new order is needed. Continue with the local queue while diagnosing networking. The cashier's saved history is authoritative for existing orders.

  1. Release an unattended order

Use release assignment in the local queue or order menu, verify the pickup code, and let replacement staff connect and wait for assignment.

  2. Complete all only after handover

Use Complete all only when every queued order has been handed over. Check the confirmation count; it also completes orders active on phones.

  3. Check service and address

Read the collaboration diagnostics for service state, URL, network checks, and next steps. Restart when directed and scan the new address. Use the local iPad queue in the meantime.

  4. Collect diagnostic details

Verify the same network and foreground host. If timeouts persist, check VPN/proxy settings as directed. Refresh technical details and record service state and errors when requesting support.

Tips

  • Check payment and picking separately, count variants, components, and gifts, and confirm who owns an order after reconnecting.
